Eight pieces of real landscape painting that depict people living their lives and enjoying the four seasons of nature

Veteran writer Jeong Hyeongnam, who returned to his hometown of Boseong, Jeollanam-do after 30 years of life in Busan and continuing to write novels there, has published a new short story collection. Based on his own life experiences, this book portrays the beauty of Korean nature in the writer’s unique lyrical style. This collection, set in Boseong, Jeollanam-do, takes a look at the lives of modern people who have escaped from the city. It conveys the peaceful emotions of the writer as well as showcasing the uniquely Korean concept of “Han,” a collective feeling of oppression, resentment, and sorrow. This book is composed of eight short stories in which lyrical moods are further emphasized with the vivid Jeollanam-do dialect.
